 Overview

The Placer County Committee on School District Reorganization consists of eleven members - two residing in each of the five supervisorial districts in Placer County and one Member-at-Large.  The Placer County Superintendent of Schools serves as Secretary to the County Committee.

The Placer County Committee on School District Reorganization conducts hearings on petitions to reorganize school districts, and approves, disapproves or makes recommendations to the California Department of Education. The County Committee also formulates plans and recommendations for the organization or reorganization of school districts in the county or, if appropriate, any portion of one or more adjacent counties.
