Background Information

Pursuant to Resolution 08-2021-01, the Placer County Board of Education began the process of revising its trustee area boundaries based on the 2020 census data as well as adopting seven single-member trustee areas.

In order to facilitate this process and develop the trustee area boundaries the County Board took the following steps:

  • Engaged District stakeholders as to the trustee area boundaries.
  • Sought proposals from and retain an experienced demographer to assist the District with the process.
  • Asked the demographer to provide information about the boundary drawing process to the Board and the public at a Board meeting.
  • Held at least two public hearings at Board meetings prior to the drafting of any draft trustee area boundary maps.
  • Posted all draft trustee area boundary maps on the District's website as they become available.
  • Held at least three public hearings at Board meetings on the draft trustee area boundary maps prior to the adoption of any map.

On October 14, 2021, the Placer County Board of Education approved Resolution No. 10-2021-02, Resolution Adopting Single-Member Trustee Area Boundary Map (Scenario Map 4) And Election Sequence For Election Of Members Of The Board Of Education; Requesting Placer County Committee On School District Organization Approval.
